This month has been unreal; the blizzards seem to come one after another. We’ve had very high winds and wind chills of -74 to -101 degrees and that’s cold. Most of the blizzards come on weekends making it impossible to go to church for 2 weeks in a row. I’m glad we’re feeding the birds this winter again. With all this snow, feed doesn’t come easy to them. I saw a Northern Shrike this month which are very rare to see. We have 10 blue jays every day. Helen went on a trip with the school to Bellin Hospital yesterday. She had so much fun. She came back with a surgical mask, hat, tongue depressor and a “Future Nurse” hat. Donny had a tour to ST. Vincent Hospital the beginning of the month. He brought home a coloring book. Keith has been working the day shift for a few weks. I like that shift better than 11-7. Pepper, our little goat, died last Sunday. This cold weather has take its toll on everything. Keith ordered his seeds from Gurney’s last week. Something to look forward to. Today a “heat wave” of 30 degrees.
