Christmas came and went so fast this year. We went by Dad’s Christmas Eve for a couple of hours, then came home, the kids were anxious to open their gifts. Donny got a shift, pajamas, Nintendo game, Mach Rider, Zapper and some Matchbox cars  with a case from Helen. Helen’s big gift from us was her camera. She got a lot of other stuff too. Christmas Day we went by Ken and Cathy’s; Dad and Jeni were there too. Then in the evening we went to Grandma’s, everyone was there and had a real nice time. New Year’s Eve we had a special family supper but couldn’t stay up til midnight. Donnie was the only one that made it.

Aunt Debbie made Helen a very special Christmas dress from material she had left from making bridesmaids’ dresses for Carol’s wedding. Helen really looked pretty and will probably be able to wear it for Easter.

Henry’s been in the hospital with intestinal virus. He should be getting out soon. Still seems funny this year with him not staying with us. With our wood fires I guess its for the best. Temperature last night was -21° F and a windchill as much as -70° F. Tonight will be cold again.
